Hypersonic interceptor / bomber.

 

 

In the period 1975-1989 years. under the guidance of NZ Matyuk was under development of hypersonic aircraft on hydrocarbon fuels.

 

Held a successful defense of preliminary designs of two different variants of the appointment of the product and the other two options were presented reports.

 

Under the leadership of deputy chief designer PA Schuster prepared avant-aircraft projects, which used two types of fuel (hydrogen - at high speeds, and kerosene - at low).

 

It is well known, at least on two themes:

 - Hypersonic interceptor / bomber 301 / 321;

 - Spaceplane MiG-2000;

 

 

Information about the plane 301 / 321 is very scarce, the machine continues the development of the MiG-25P / R.

 

In 1997, the Bureau announced that MIG Protection Project hypersonic aircraft with a maximum speed of more than 5000 km / h.

 

It was planned that the aircraft will continue to exist in two versions: reconnaissance / bomber with SD air-to-surface missiles deployed in the weapons bays, equipped with means of electronic reconnaissance and radar side-looking and the interceptor.

 

 

The first flight could be accomplished before the end of the nineties.
